This personality disorder is a personality disorder characterized by a life-long pattern of exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a diminished ability to empathize with other people’s feelings.

        Grandiose sense of self-importance:

Overestimating abilities, exaggerating achievements, and believing they are superior to others.

        Preoccupation with fantasies:

Constantly dreaming about unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.

        Belief in their uniqueness:

Thinking they are special and can only be understood by other special or high-status people.

        Need for excessive admiration:

Requiring constant attention and positive feedback from others.

        Sense of entitlement:

Feeling they deserve special treatment and that others should automatically comply with their demands.

        Exploitative behavior:

Taking advantage of others to achieve their own goals.

        Lack of empathy:

Difficulty recognizing or identifying with the feelings and needs of others.

        Envy of others or belief that others are envious of them:

A tendency to feel envious of others’ successes or believe that others are envious of them.

        Arrogant and haughty behaviors:

Displaying an arrogant attitude and engaging in condescending or dismissive behaviors.
